Filling out its line of heavy-duty mortar mixers, Stone Construction Equipment Inc. has introduced two new models in its Champion mixer line. Both the 12 cu.ft. SM1200 and 20 cu.ft. SM2000 mixers are designed for compatibility with silo applications, but can also be used with bulk bagged mortar, grout, plaster or color mixers.
The Champion SM1200 is the smaller of the two silo models Stone offers and is suited to smaller silo applications such as large residential, industrial and commercial block. It has a bulk bag capacity of three to four bags.
The 20 cu.ft. SM2000 is a larger silo model ideal for use in large commercial and industrial jobs with silos holding 15,000 lb. or more of material, Stone said. The machine has a bulk bag capacity of six to seven bags.
A single-cylinder Honda GX390 gasoline engine rated 13 hp at 3900 rpm powers the mixers and is paired with a cyclone air cleaner to reduce the dust contamination common in mixer applications. The engine has a 389 cc displacement, low oil shutdown system, and the engine and other components can be accessed through a one-piece swing-away cowl.
