UK laser marking machine maker expands in USA

To further increase the applications, engineering and training support, laser marking specialist Electrox has opened an addition regional office in Londonderry, New Hampshire, USA.
Customer support is everything. To further increase the applications, engineering and training support with which laser marking specialist Electrox provides its customers, the company has opened an addition regional office in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The new office opened in June 2006.

It provides sales and demonstration facilities as well as creating a substantial off-site training facility and an applications-engineering resource close to the local customer base.

A world-leader in the design, development and manufacture of laser marking systems, Electrox was founded more than thirty years ago by two innovative entrepreneurs.

It continues in that entrepreneurial way with a process of continuous innovation in developing industrial laser marking systems.

Howard Moore, general manager of Electrox, said: 'Laser marking has changed out of all recognition during the last decade.

The actual price, size and power requirements of a laser marking system have fallen substantially: for instance the power requirements have fallen by up to 75% whilst marking speeds have doubled.

A system is now around half the cost it was four years ago.

This is giving a substantially reduced cost of ownership and has made laser marking accessible to a far larger range of companies.

Electrox has been at the forefront of these developments and will continue to be so.' The strength of Electrox lies in its substantial and vibrant design and applications engineering departments.

The Electrox range of laser marking systems has been created to address the widest range of materials with a choice of easy to use, standard industrial systems.

Developing production-orientated products in response to market requirements, it has introduced an almost entirely new product range during the past twelve months.

Offered in modular form for integration into production lines and as a range of turn-key solutions, Electrox lasers are suitable for a wide range of applications, including metals, glass, plastics and textiles, wood, leather and coated materials.

Products range from the ground breaking Scorpion fibre laser, the Razor CO2 laser, and the Cobra V-12/20 Nd:Vanadate laser.

Electrox prides itself on retaining total control over all the design, development, manufacture, and support processes associated with the delivery of effective manufacturing solutions.

This tradition guarantees customers a single point of reference and no abrogation of responsibility in the event of either pre-sales queries or after sales support.

Crucially this ownership of the full product life cycle extends to the construction of the software used to create the mark and control the laser.

Electrox has invested over 60-man years in perfecting its unique proprietary Windows based marking software application.

* About Electrox - Electrox has over 2,000 current installations, in over 40 countries.
