Dealer meeting previews new machining software At a recent international dealer meeting, Vero International Software announced the latest releases to its VISI-Series and machining STRATEGIST software products and other additions. At a recent international dealer meeting attended by 46 dealers from 24 countries around the world, Vero International Software announced the latest releases to its VISI-Series and machining STRATEGIST software products as well as some exciting new additions to its product line up. The meeting was aimed at the emerging markets and highlighted a number of new products that will be released over the coming months.

These included the powerful SMIRTware viewing software specifically designed for the die build and stamping industry, updates to the already popular 4- and 5-axis VISI-machining software, a first view of the VISI-Flow CAE application and a number of SDK applications for specific productivity gains in the general CAD environment, electrode manufacture and CAM.

The introduction of the SMIRTware application was very well received by the dealers who were able to see, first hand, the benefits of the specialist solution.

The SMIRTware products offer powerful viewing tools and provide a highly productive approach to building large metal stamping dies in a way that empowers shop floor personnel to construct these complex tools with greater speed and accuracy.

Another important product release was the latest update to the VISI-Series 5 axis software which was first released by Vero just over a year ago.

After a successful release in Vero's more established markets the product has undergone significant enhancements to functionality and user interface to make the product easier to use, configure and support for all types of multi axis machining environments.

The new and improved 5 axis module includes an updated user friendly interface, more options for tilting and gouge checking, extra strategies and an updated machine kinematics that will simulate any 2D/3D/5AX tool path.

The dealers also had a first preview of new products that will be released over the coming months include the VISI-Flow application for mould flow analysis.

This application has already seen very successful sales in Italy and will have its world wide release later this year.

Among the 24 countries represented were Taiwan, China, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Greece, Spain, Portugal, India, South Korea, Turkey, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Belgium, Holland and Mexico.

Globally, Vero International Software is represented in over 40 countries by more than 80 distributors and, in addition to its extensive dealer network, has its own direct sales operations in the UK, France, Italy, Japan and Canada.
